Winter is usually a time for wedding and portrait photographers to prepare for the new year, take workshops and experiment a little. I have long wanted to offer Day in the Life sessions, but I needed to do a test run first - figure out what the logistics are, was there anything I was forgetting, how can I make this the best experience possible etc... I found a few things out actually - but the biggest is time coverage and having a plan of the day. I've decided I'm going to offer 4, 6 and 8 hour coverage. For the smaller children (who aren't as busy) 4-6 hours may be just perfect while for the older child with lots of activites 6-8 would work better.
Well my test subject (who I adore and is adorable) was my niece Dorrie. Here she is first thing in the morning

And here is one of my favorite series of the day - she gets soo mad while she's trying to figure something out - I'm sure she's swearing in gibberish.

To say that she's expressive would be an understatement!

To view the whole day you can visit
Dorrie in my client galleries section. The gallery expires May 1st.
